Sketch of the Week: Rain in San Diego

 

It started to sprinkle again after a few weeks of sunny weather in Los Angeles, so I thought I'd post a sketch done late last year during the rainy spell. This was sketched in Balboa Park in San Diego, and colored at home. I had to draw quickly because rain was falling harder and sky was getting darker. It's amusing to see airplanes heading toward San Diego Airport flying above an otherwise tranquil park with old Spanish-style buildings.
