I did a painting in El Segundo this weekend, which is where Los Angeles International Airport is located. Airplanes regularly puncture the silence over otherwise quiet tree-lined streets lined with neatly kept midcentury modern buildings. I challenged myself by painted directly with watercolor without my usual sepia Signo pen. Painting the shadows was tough but I enjoyed capturing the shapes.

Absolutely gorgeous, Shiho! Way to challenge yourself. You get over to El Segundo often?
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I've been to El Segundo - next time I hope to sketch some planes at LAX!
