75 Days of Visual Diary, a set on Flickr.
I just wrapped up a 75 Day Sketch Challenge proposed by Brenda Swanson. While I have been sketching every day for two years or so, this time I decided to take photos of each sketch with my phone for record-keeping. I like the convenience even though picture quality would be better with a scanner - photographing 75 sketches on the spot is easier than scanning them all at once!I chose a small and squarish sketchbook from Kunst & Papier for this project so I can carry it around everywhere. While some days I wished I had a sketchbook that was better suited to more leisurely watercolor painting, most days I only found a few minutes to do quick sketches. Even though past 75 days of my daily life in Los Angeles had been uneventful and mundane - as you can tell from the amount of office buildings, construction trucks, people waiting around, and landscaped plants that I drew - I'd like to think that extraordinary discoveries lie within ordinary things. I wish you all a happy 2013 full of new discoveries!

How freakin' cool, Shiho! Congrats! I'm so glad you did it! I like what you wrote about discovering something extraordinary in the ordinary. I believe that too and it's very zen and Buddhist sounding too. Happy new year to you!!!!
