I think the sketch I did over the weekend at
Los Angeles Central Library for
26th Worldwide Sketch Crawl fits this week's Illustration Friday theme, "perspective". There is a beautiful rotunda in this library, and I struggled with getting the perspective and atmosphere down - I painted on the spot, and added some more watercolor washes later after the paper dried completely. I'm satisfied with how this sketch turned out, though for the rest of the day, I spent my time looking at exhibits and murals instead of drawing :)
Yay! first sketch I've seen that actually addresses perspective from a technical standpoint! Kudos and very nice!
ReplyDeletewow- want to go to that library the next time I am in LA- nice job- must of been a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks great Shiho!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! That's the Rotunda all right. The boy on the side looks great, too. The colors. Nice perspective! VICKI
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments! And thank you for suggesting to go to the Library, Meesimo and Art Fan!
ReplyDeletethats perfect perspective point very nice. it need a lot of practice & concentration. you should go for animation. ABC Town Car Limo offers NYC airport limo service, NYC charters and more on stretch limousines, sedan limo and NYC Limo. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteluv this so much. Very impressive :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! At first site, it reminded me of the ballroom in the Johann Mouse episode of Tom & Jerry and I've always liked the tone of that one!
ReplyDeleteCool, I like how you handled the mural! man I wish I could've made it, still need to check out that library. :]
