27th Worldwide Sketchcrawl: Los Angeles

For 27th Worldwide Sketchcrawl, the Los Angeles group decided to go to Redondo Beach Pier, thinking it'll be a nice day at the beach - but it was overcast and windy, even though it was sunny until the day before. The wind was so cold that I wish I brought my fingerless gloves that came in so handy in Alaska! About a dozen of us still braved the elements to get some sketching done.

Redondo Beach Pier is a quaint beachfront area that was built in 1950s, and original buildings from that era adds a lot of character. There are restaurants that serve fresh seafood, a gaming center with vintage arcade games, shops that sell fried snacks like churros and funnel cake, docking area for boats, and fishing area that faces the open sea. It had all the elements of relaxing Saturday afternoon (minus the sunshine).
