Airport Sketches: Anchorage and Seattle

My trip for Operation Arctic Care involved stopovers each way, so I had a chance to sketch at some airports. All were drawn with pen on the spot and watercolored at home.

Here is Anchorage Airport - there are some snow on the ground and the mountains.

I then flew to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It had the most gorgeous observation deck I've visited! The sun was setting, and the full expanse of window offered a spectacular view of the sky and the planes taking off. The drawing was done in a hurry since my flight was on the other side of the airport, though glass wall really was curved, not just because I was too rushed to properly draw straight lines!

Once I boarded my flight, I looked out the window and caught sight of buildings bathed in golden dusk light, with pools of water reflecting early evening sky.
