This week's IF topic, "Transportation" gave me a chance to gather a lot of sketches I made at airports. Here is my favorite one, from Honolulu Airport in Hawaii:
- and these are from when I was traveling from Los Angeles to Portland, Oregon for Urban Sketching Symposium. I flew between five airports total because I decided to use my frequent flyer miles for a plane ticket that was "free" (but it took 9 hours total to get to a place that would've taken mere 2.5 hours on a direct flight...if I had 9 hours of travel time again, I'd rather fly to Europe....) - at least I get to sketch a lot of airport scenes and airplanes.
- and here is a view of my hometown airport (LAX), as seen from grassy mini-park next to the runway.

Nice pic.
