I went on a long bike ride to Ballona Creek, where Los Angeles River empties out into Pacific Ocean. I sketched this area along with other parts of L.A. River two years ago
here and
here, and decided to return to the waterfront to enjoy a summer day. People who are searching for mussels, kids taking a dip, fishermen, yachts gliding by, seagulls and snowy egrets - they all meet at the mouth of the river.
