Sketch of the Week: Colorful Leaves

I had an opportunity to do a little plein air painting this weekend at Burton Chase Park in Marina del Rey. This park juts out into the ocean, and there are boats all around - but when I saw beautiful colors of yellow gingko tree leaves and red maple tree leaves, I had to capture it instead. I drew with my trusty Uniball Signo sepia pen and painted with watercolor on the spot, and added touches of white gouache at home. (You wouldn't know that this building is a bathroom from this sketch!)
