For
31st Worldwide SketchCrawl, the Los Angeles group went to the L.A. Zoo. I could only spare about an hour to join the fun that day, so I did very quick sketches of what I could capture on paper and watercolored them at home. I'm very pleased that relatively inexpensive sketchbook that I'm trying out for the first time (Pentalic Nature Sketch) takes watercolor and pen well. So here they are: sleeping koalas, resting flamingos, a curious meerkat, and, of course, the most common creatures on a hot Saturday afternoon: kids and adults in summertime clothes.
