Here are some views of my neighborhood at night - I decided to park my car and sketch what I saw out of my window since it was too cold and dark to paint with watercolors. I remembered I had Brushes app on my iPhone, so I used that to experiment.
I've had this app on my iPhone for a while, but I still find it tricky to use. I played with some drawing apps on iPad, too, but it seems my lines don't show up on the screen as fast as I can swipe. Capacitive technology used for touch screen is not as fluid as I like compared to pressure-sensitive screen like on a Wacom tablet.
Do you have any tips on iPhone/iPad sketching? Some people suggested using an app called Paper, and it seems like iPad will be much better for sketching due to its larger surface.

Well, despite these digital devices not being as sensitive as you'd like, you created some lovely paintings. The top one is just incredible. Great job, Shiho. Hope to see more of your work in this medium.
ReplyDeleteYou know maybe, you could give up your expectations of what you think it should be and take advantage of what it is-----in other words----don't make it adapt to your way of working-----but instead-----adapt to the way it works. Maybe, you discover new things this way???? Just throwing out an idea.
Ah, thanks Melissa! Have you tried to paint with iPad? Let me know what you find out!
