Sketch of the Week: Painting at the Winery

I went on a day trip to Bernardo Winery in San Diego to take a painting workshop taught by Shuang Li with my artist friend from college, Alice Picado. I am still learning to put enough value range in my plein air painting. Since it was not a grape harvest season, the landscape had bare grape vines among lush winter greenery. It was a fun outing despite the chilly weather!

  1. What a fun outing and what beautiful paintings you've created from them! Glad you had some fun. Any wine tasting too?

  2. No wine tasting, just painting - though I've added this place to the list of things to do in San Diego!
