Sketch of the Week: Cycling Through the Heart of Los Angeles

I enjoyed going to CicLAvia, the car-free/bike-and-walk friendly festival. This event was dubbed "Heart of L.A.", and I truly enjoyed seeing some city landmarks on my bike. (My previous CicLAvia sketches are here and here.)

I started the day in Chinatown, and headed south toward City Hall.

My friend and I met up with a group from Orange County who rode the train with their bikes. I saw many cyclists walking through Union Station.

We took a break at MacArthur Park. I had watermelon agua fresca and freshly-made pupusa for lunch. It was a good day despite the unseasonal scorching heat.
