I went to Glow Festival over the weekend to see one-day-only art installed at the beach at night. This was the hardest sketch I've done all year since it was too dark to see what I was drawing and I later had to paint it with layers upon layers of paint to darken the sky. I wanted to catch the beginning of the event, when glowing light sculptures (by Shana Koenig) swayed in the gentle breeze while people began to gather. Some had flashlights, some dressed up in their own glow-in-the-dark costumes, all looked enthralled and delighted to spend a special autumn evening.
