Sketch of the Week: San Diego Comic-Con

I went to San Diego Comic-Con, like I do almost every year, and sketched some people in costumes as usual. (The girl in pink dinosaur suit was checking her phone at a different location than the phone recharging station that skater Luigi is using, but I thought they look good together.)

The festivities continue to spill outside of the convention center, so I had to sketch happenings outside, too. Where else can you find a Headless Horseman visiting a Smurfs Village?

The Con has taken over the city!
And just to show how crazy/fun this place can get, I drew the people waiting in line for a chance to attend a panel to see some celebrities. It seems that most people who are waiting and passing the time playing patty-cake, chatting, reading, napping and checking their e-devices are not into costumes. I'd imagine it'll be uncomfortable to be dressing up to wait for 5+ hours.

'til next time!
